LUCIANA AND STARSHELL HIT THE ROAD TOGETHER FOR CLUB TOUR!

New York, NY (November 4, 2010) – Luciana and Starshell, two of the hottest up-and-coming new artists in the industry, are hitting the road together for a tour that will bring their infectious sounds and moving beats to clubs around the country.

Luciana, and her hit song ‘I Like That,’ has taken over the world and infiltrated people’s minds and bodies. ‘I Like That,’ available on iTunes now, pulsates with an infectious sexy electro energy as the UK singer, with Italian roots, pounces her lyrics over its bombastic beats. The song was produced by famed dance music producers Static Revenger and Richard Vission and is a dance-pop-electro anthem that drips with European gutter punk attitude. The song is just a taste of what to expect from Luciana’s highly anticipated mind-bending music. A talented songwriter as well, Luciana, signed to Violent Lips/Geffen Records, was behind ‘Cupid Boy’ from Kylie Minogue’s latest album, Aphrodite. ‘I Like That’ was featured on the MTV hit show ‘Jersey Shore’ soundtrack is currently making its way to U.S. radio, including LA’s KISS FM. Performing music on the tour from her upcoming album, Luciana’s self-directed artistically arresting video for ‘I Like That’ can be seen on her website, www.luciana.com.

Mary J. Blige’s new artist and prot√©g√© Starshell released her debut single ‘Superluva,’ now available on iTunes, last month on Matriarch/Geffen Records. ‘Superluva’ was produced by Fernando Garibay, the famed producer who has worked with Lady Gaga, U2, Britney Spears and more. The video was directed by Petro and premiered on AOL. Starshell is an accomplished songwriter who has co-penned several songs, most notably ‘Love Lockdown’ for Kanye West and ‘I Can See in Color’ and ‘Closer’ plus new songs for Mary J. Blige. In the spring of 2008 Starshell met Mary J. Blige and her husband, Matriarch President Kendu Isaccs. Days later, Starshell was in a studio with Mary, Kendu and Marsha Ambrosius of British R&B duo Floetry. The three women bonded, carrying on like old friends and an impromptu writing session ensued. A couple months later, Starshell signed with Matriarch, which then signed a promotion and distribution deal with Geffen for its new artist. Starshell’s as-yet-untitled debut album, featuring savvy, creative and talented producers and writers such as will.i.am, Scott Storch, Jerry Wonda, Swizz Beats, , Ne-Yo, Jeff Bhasker and Martin Kierszenbaum, to name a few, will be released in the New Year.

I never, and I mean never, peruse the Top 10 lists of iTunes — I find them repetitive and never changing. But a few weeks ago I realized that a lot of the songs in those lists, as cheesy as they are, are also popular on top radio stations, of which I also don’t peruse.

No car equals no radio listening time.

Last week however I thought I should plop my ear to the ground of middle-American pop culture and see what the kids were listening to. Most of my suspicions were validated by countless Katy Perry, Ke$ha and ‘Glee’ song, but as I scrolled through the entire Top Singles list I got to a random track called ‘I Like That,’ double-clicked and purchased. Then for the next half hour I repeated this massive dance single that sounded like it was plucked straight from David Guetta’s wet dream.

The artist who made my pants a little Lizzy was named Luciana, a young UK gal who has already penned hits for Nicole Sherzinger’s upcoming album and the song ‘Cupid Boy’ from Kylie Minogue’s latest album’ Aphrodite.’ Her slinky and ever so lackadaisical lyrics, paired with a shimmering of thunderous beats produced by Static Revenger and Richard Vission, make this single an absolute must for anyone who doesn’t have a stick up their you know what.

If that description doesn’t sell you on the track yet, Luciana described it to me as, ‘dirty electro … it’s a bit naughty, but it never gets boring. Nice is vanilla. You’ve got to be a little nasty. I want to assault your senses.’

And she does, like a cologne convention during a rainbow storm.
